Broker's Comments

This vessel is based on the 'Coastworker 30' design by Bruce Roberts and the only survey is the original in 1991, which I have a copy of and has much more detail of the build.

Although built as a fishing boat she has never been used as a fishing trawler. She started out life as a dive boat but the present owner has always just used it for leisure and personal fishing.

She has a good size forward cabin with sea toilet to the starboard side and this can be configured as a twin or double. The wheelhouse is situated forward of the main deck and is recessed into the raised foredeck.

All windows are 6mm toughened glass and there is access to the main engine room from the wheelhouse. On the main deck there is a fish hold midships and then a deck store aft of the fish hold.

Bilge and washdeck system is via a belt driven clutch controlled Jabsco 50mm bilge pump on the free end of the main engine. A 50mm bilge main is fitted and via the valve manifold, can pump from the engine room, fish hold and fore cabin space. Sea water can also be drawn from the main sea inlet box to provide washdeck and fire main discharge on deck. Piping is of metal and non return valves and strum boxes are fitted at each suction. Discharge is through the shell via a valve at the starboard side alongside the engine discharge.

The original survey says that the vessel was built to the requirements of Sea Fish 'Rules for the construction of steel fishing vessels under 24m'.

I am told that the boat has been out of the water every 3 years for antifouling, though last out in June 2021 for anti fouling and new anodes.

The boat is not presently coded.
