About Jason DeShay
I started working with Boatshed Florida in September 2023.
What did you do before working with Boatshed?
I have been working for 20 years in the maritime industry as a Captain, engineer, new build skipper and refit project manager. Hailing from the US East Coast and the son of a Navy veteran I was on the water from a very young age.
I worked in the Caribbean, US East Coast , China , SE Asia and Central America for 12 years as a yacht skipper on various boats both in charter and privately then I moved on to building carbon fibre boats in China as well as pioneering boat design and construction in the jungles of Northern Laos on the Mekong river.
I have worked around the globe acquiring experience in almost every aspect of the yachting industry. I now plan to utilise that experience to be part of the Boatshed Florida Keys team.
What attracted you to become part of the Boatshed team?
I met Neil on a sunset cruise and after chatting to him about Boatshed it sounded like a great opportunity.
